Anthropic gives Claude Code a 50% limit boost

Published Reach 36

Anthropic just increased weekly usage limits for its Claude Code assistant by 50% through July 13. The promotional bump is already live for all Pro, Max, Team, and seat-based Enterprise subscribers with no setup needed, giving developers substantially more runway for coding workflows.

Anthropic just gave developers running Claude Code some welcome breathing room.

The company announced a 50% temporary increase in weekly usage limits for its AI-powered terminal coding assistant. The boost is live right now and runs through July 13.

Higher caps across paid tiers

The expansion applies to all paid plans, covering Pro, Max, Team, and seat-based Enterprise subscribers. No extra configuration or settings toggles are required on the user end.

That means developers can immediately throw heavier refactoring tasks and longer terminal sessions at the tool without constantly bumping into the weekly ceiling.

Why it matters

For power users who live in the terminal, weekly limits have been a regular bottleneck. An extra 50% headroom makes Claude Code far more viable for day-to-day production workloads rather than quick experiments.

We think this is a smart move by Anthropic to lock in developer loyalty in a crowded coding assistant market, while stress-testing its infrastructure under sustained demand. The main catch is the expiration date. Because it is a promotional window ending July 13, teams will have to see whether Anthropic keeps these limits or dials them back afterward.
